I had a damaged brass blanking/casing plug (part number 259243) on the fluid flywheel case which I totally destroyed while removing it.
Does anyone out there know the correct size/threads and where I could purchase some? I think mine are 3/8"-18. I tried 3/8"NPT and it goes in a turn or so before getting hand tight. Are the threads supposed to be tapered as in pipe thread or a parallel thread?
thanks
Bob

daimler 15 flywheel blanking plug
Re: daimler 15 flywheel blanking plug
I would have thought the plug would be BSW or BSF. Hopefully a “15” owner will comment. I assume from a balancing perspective the weight of the plug is important.

They can certainly be a tight fit! I tried to remove one of mine on a Conquest last weekend to check the fluid level but it wouldn't budge. I tried using the internal square and the external hexagon.
