Conquest front hub grease

Post by Phillmore »

I removed the front hub caps yesterday to repack with grease and noticed that the existing grease was very dark in colour and very hard. This grease has been in the hubs for at least twenty years (the car was laid up for that time by the previous owner), so is it a particular type of grease or just the result of ageing?
