Conquest sump plug
Am I correct in thinking that this part is common to the Century and strict Conquest? I need a new one and John Nash only lists it under Century.

Re: Conquest sump plug
Thanks Neil I'll order one then. Mine looks as though it's only ever been removed using stilsons! Too mangled for a socket.

It makes you wonder what sort of hamfisted previous owners our cars have had.

Re: Conquest sump plug
Generally this one that I'm re commissioning is very unmolested and has been well looked after so I'm not sure what happened to the sump plug.

Re: Conquest sump plug
Judging from several removed over the years, a chisel and hammer were the usual tools for removing brass sump plugs in the 1950s and 60s.
Used on the SP and MM too.
Cheers
