DB18 Lucas Regulator and Junction Box RJF91 Type L3

Post by Johnsson »

According to the Parts Book my DB18 has the above regulator and junction box. I have a publication that gives the wiring to the rest of the car on the reverse side of this unit but does anyone have a copy of the internal wiring diagram of this unit?

Regards,

Trevor

Sorry - I don`t have an internal wiring diagram, although I`m sure a bit of digging around the web would find you one. I actually got mine converted to electronic operation , and would strongly recommend that rather than trying to get old equipment working properly - because it was never really up to the job even when brand new!! I would be interested in a copy of this publication if possible

Will this be OK? Regulator on the left, cutout on the right.

Well it has taken over a year but I have finally got the old girl back on the road. I had no power on the dash and the only electrical circuit that would work was the horn. After playing around with the lights and ignition switch we finally discovered we could power everything up by running a jumper between the horn fuse and the top fuse on the fuse box. After much frustration we finally discovered a poor connection between the solid copper wires from the voltage regulator and the stranded wires in the fuse box terminals they connected to. Thank goodness I did not have to pay for an Auto Electrician to sort this one out.
