20/70 hearse brakes

Hi, I am the guy who bought the 1928 Daimler 20/70 hearse on Ebay last year.
No, I haven't removed the reg !!
It is now totally stripped to rolling chassis and I have shortened the body, replacing all
wood with new ash (a new skill for me) to create a 2 seater sports . Pic available if I knew how.
I am trying to replicate the 40/50 or double six type and currently have a bonnet length of around 6 ft
I am now faced with lengthening the steering column which should be fairly straightforward and bringing
the crossmembers with brake, throttle and clutch assemblies closer to the driver (it helps ).
Does anyone know how the power braking facility works ?
I have removed it in it's entirety as rods and cables will have to be shortened at the rear and lengthened at the front.
Thanks in anticipation ,
John

The car should be fitted with a Clayton Dewandre vacuum servo unit evacuated by a pipe leading off from the inlet manifold.

Stan you are a mine of information.

John, if you Google the name Stan suggests there is a load of really interesting stuff on your servo.

There was I thinking a brake servo was a modern invention, nothing new under the sun. Syd
