Hi, trying to overhaul front brakes etc and struggling to split the assembly.
It is 2 tubes the outer width of the chassis , one of which rotates to operate the brake levers
and therefore move the rods accordingly.
The other rod/tube provides strength I believe and also holds one of the two legs holding
the spare wheel carrier.
Is it just a case of heating/hammering the casing outwards to split the assembly ?
Any help appreciated.

Just in case someone else has a similar problem - both tubes are "locked in"
with 2 steel dowels/clevis pins in an x-shape at each end of both tubes but
they take some drilling out !!
Brake tube ones are conspicuous but main tube are virtually invisible -good luck with those !
