Value of a DB18 Engine

Post by Johnsson »

What do members suggest I charge for a spare 2.5 litre Daimler engine complete with flywheel and gearbox. The engine is probably ex-army as it has double grooved pulleys for the fan belt. I would put the condition as reasonable.

Hi Trevor,
Sending this from our national rally in Orange NSW.
I paid $3000 for a reconditioned DB 18 engine some time ago to transplant into my Special Sports and $4000 for a snazzy rebuilt one for my DB 18/1 Ritz so hope that gives you some idea.
Cheers
Peter
