Talk to John Chatfield at Thornton’s. I have recently spent time getting rings to suit by Db18 engine rebuild, and john did the digging to get what I needed.

Try going direct to a source manufacturer and cut out the middleman, and have a word with H.P. Rings in Chesterfield on 01246 261299 email sales@hprings.com. (speak to David Hollis).

I have no commercial connection with this company whatsoever - but they made me a "one off" order of 24 piston rings to my specification for 60% less than that I was quoted by a well-known "specialist" classic car parts supplier.

Remember - Confucius He say: "The price you pay is in inverse proportion to your knowledge of the purchase".
