There is a Facebook group, "Ebay Vehicle Scam Alerts" or EVSA dedicated to busting these scams which not only affect classic cars, but caravans, mobile homes, boats, diggers and more. Jack Buster is a pseudonym for the guy that started the group but there have been 10s of thousands of victims over the last 6 or 7 years and over 200,000 individual scam listings, excluding the bulk listings which dump 2,000 or even 3,000 scam listings at a time and they come in all the time.

I just noticed an ebay alert for a Consort for sale. This is the item for which I got an ebay "Consort for sale" message https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daimler-DB18 ... 4336298870

It's the scammer again, he's hijacked another account, here is the DB18 we're talking about https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Daimler-DB18 ... 4336298324

Complete list of Daimlers https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw ... acat=29751

Range Rovers, Rollers, Morgans, Jags, Mercs, camper vans, boats, tractors, diggers you name it https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Cars-Motorcy ... et&_sop=16

Hijacked account = camflet https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/camflet again since Jan 2005

This scammer is clearly adept at hijacking certain accounts and then an automated way to insert hundreds of fake listings.

Apparently it's done by sending spoof emails to account holders https://www.salehoo.com/blog/avoiding-t ... -you-think
