I`d be very surprised if David Beales didn`t have them. Unfortunately he`s just gone off on his jollies for a couple of weeks. However, his son is holding the fort, so might be worth a call!

Re: Amal Gear change rod roller joint
Hi Geoff
I have a good used Amal joint which you are welcome to. If its for a Century I reckon it will be 5/16 UNF though I also have a 5/16 BSF one.

Re: Amal Gear change rod roller joint
Peter, Darren, Ian S, Terry and Ian V,
Thank you all so much for taking the time to offer advice and help with this. I've thought of David B but not yet got round to his website; having explored John Nash's website thoroughly with no luck there. The Amal part numbers may turn out to be useful thank you; having thought that one size of joint might be used in all applications since the relevant internal machinery is possibly the same from one pre-select box to the others, i'd not be surprised to find that that assumption is entirely wrong; and they all have different bus bar springs with different gear change pedal and of course rod dimensions, and therefore different sized rod roller joints!
Accordingly Ian (V), your offer of a good used Amal joint is not only very kind but very acceptable. Should we continue the conversation directly? I'll send you a PM.
Well everyone, this Forum is now IMHO at least as good as t'other, and probably better.
Thank you all
Cheers
Geoff
