I've no wish to deviate from the topic, but on the subject of selector rods and ball joints, is there a good source of the correct size and spec of ball joint that is well known in order to avoid the need to go a-hunting from square one? I've often thought that a replacement set would be a good idea after over 60 years of faithful service from the originals. The car in question is a Century, not that it probably matters.

Thanks

Geoff
