more questions
As I struggle to find out why it won't start, I noticed a nasty strange noise when turning over by hand - a sort of scrapey noise from down lower? the noise then stops, only to reappear another time. Could be from the timing chain area. So I might take the front end , timing chain , to bits , so, HOW does one stop the crankshaft turning when removing the front nut/receiver for the starting handle?
