foot pedal gaitors bellows - 1933 Lanchester

Post by ranald »

The 3 foot pedal linkages go through holes in the toe board. Any form of seal in the form of gaitors or bellows has long since dissappeared on my car. How have other members of the forum solved this problem? Thanks Ranald

Hi Ranald, found these on eBay, but not sure if they are suitable for your car.

Of course, the easiest way is to make your own, using some nice soft leather, just cut to form a cone shape, stitch the two sides together, turn it inside out, tack the lower edge to the floor, then allowing for movement, secure the top end to the Pedal Shaft. Simples ! or not, as the case may be !!

Cheers A'l :D :D :D

Thanks Al. I'll probably use soft leather as a pre-formed rubber bellow intended for another model might impede the smooth movement of the throttle linkage.
