Hello,
As you, I live in a very rainy place (Normandie in France, just in front of Portsmouth) and after a run with my 1933 LA10 Lanchester, I just wondered to myself if the leather roof of my car was supposed to be watertight... ! Because if it's the case, I have an important work to do on it !!! And the sunroof that fits my Mulliner body constitutes probably an aggravating factor...
Thanks.
Julian

LA10 leather roof
Re: LA10 leather roof
Hi, Julian, yes it is supposed to be watertight , I recovered the Roof on my Lanchester over 26 years ago, and its never leaked .!
It’s not too bad a job, but you will need to remove the old covering very carefully, and the separate the sections to use as patterns etc.
If you do decide to do it , then drop me a line, and I will attempt to give you some further instructions.
Best wishes A’l.
