Shock Absorber Link Bushes

Post by Culbu »

Good afternoon everyone,

Who knows if the Lanchester LA14/2 Roadrider Shock Absorber Link Bushes (currently for sale on Ebay) could fit the Lanchester LA10 (early one) shock absorber links ?

Kind regards,

Julian

I'm talking about the rear shock absorber links...

The arms fit these and look like a dog bone i would think have you a picture, what size are the rubber bushes internal and external and length.
These could be similar to LD10 ones.
Peter.

Peter,

I will let you know soon.

Thanks

PS : your car gets some Rotoflo shock absorbers as mine. I learnt that it’s unfortunately not possible to recondition them. I would prefer the original Luvax ones...

Peter,

The pin outer diameter is 0.5 inch
The link inner diameter is 0.87 inch
The bush length is 1.2 inch

Thanks.

The pin is 0.5 inch for sure as i had some pins made the rest looks about the measurements you give not checked as yet, mine are luvac twin piston shock absorbers like some Rovers and MG ta,td.
Think Moss sell these but nearly £7 each without postage which i have no idea of cost, you could make your own using a poly rubber mix so it bonds to the metal.
If you use the bought ones think they need to be glued.

Maybe the difference comes from the fact that my LA10 gets Rotoflo rear shock absorbers and not the original Luvax ones...
