Bonnet insulation

Post by Graham »

Do the bonnets on lj’s or conquest have insulation. I have the appropriate materials, high temp glue and the material, but i’m not sure if the whole of the bonnet should be done, just the area over the engine or if it should not have any insulation. Is heat to stop engine heat damaging the paintwork? Any guidance would be appreciated.

None of my Conquests have insulation or signs that they ever have.

Thanks for that Andy, that’s one less job to do.
