Lanchester Leda Paint Colours

Post by Peter Grant »

Sorry if this has been discussed before but we here in the colonies need a bit of advice.

The DLOC here in New South Wales has acquired a Lanchester Leda for restoration. it is a club project and so far some wonderful and skilled volunteers have been giving up their Thursdays preparing the car for painting.

A lot of work has been done and some panels which have what we think is the original paint colour have been found but the concern is that the paint would have faded with time and we would like to get the right colour for the car. If we get a computer match it would be a match for the old panels and may not be accurate for when the car was new.

The car was, it would seem, painted a dark green originally, not a metallic colour, just dark green.

Does anyone have nay colour details of what the Leda range could have been painted from the factory?

I had thought that perhaps the colour range was shared with the Conquest but I have been told otherwise.

Hope someone can help.

Cheers
PG
