Can anyone tell me if the engine mounts used in the Lanchester 11 were the same as the Lanchester 10.
If they are different can anyone tell me of suitable alternatives.
Many thanks.

Re: Lanchester 11 engine mounts.
Hi Marcel, having just looked through both LA10 and LA11 Parts Books, I can confirm that they are different, the LA11 ones are much more "Cone" shaped. I actually used Jaguar Engine Mountings at the Front end of my Engine, easily obtainable on eBay, and they do the job very well.
I did find some original ones in a box of spare parts recently and when I get the chance later , I'll look them out and photograph them for you.
Cheers Al

Many thanks Alan, is it worth me buying or borrowing them from you to be able to get tooling made?
The more usable cars the better being my thought.

Hi Marcel, I’ll check the Part No ‘s attached to some of the Mountings against to see if they are actually for LA10’s and LA 11’s

Re: Lanchester 11 engine mounts.
Is the Jaguar engine mount used at the front the same as these?
Re: Lanchester 11 engine mounts.
Hi Marcel, yes those are very similar to the ones that I used, although the Centres are actually threaded, I used a couple of long bolts to secure the engine in place.
The other Two holes lined up perfectly with the original securing holes in the Chassis.
Cheers Al
Ps, I haven’t forgotten that I promised you some pictures of the LA 10 ones .

Re: Lanchester 11 engine mounts.
Many thanks. Have you managed to find the cone shaped ones for the rear?
Re: Lanchester 11 engine mounts.
Hi Marcel, Im almost certain that the Rear Mounting Rubbers are Not Cone shaped on the LA 11
Having recently worked on a 1934 LA10 , these are the ones that are Cone shaped.
I will investigate tomorrow for you .
Cheers Al

Re: Lanchester 11 engine mounts.
Hi Marcel, well just photographed the Engine Mounting Rubbers, but have unfortunately been unable to positively identify any of them.
I did compare the part No on the packaging that they came in, with similar parts in both my LA11 and LA 10 parts books, but was unable to match any of them up .
Here are the pictures for you to look at:-
Perhaps others will be able to identify them
The top ones pictured ,are very similar to LA 10 Rear Engine Mountings

Hi Marcel, here’s a couple of pictures of LA 11 Front and Rear Engine Mounts.
The Front ones are of course Jaguar Mounts and the fit very nicely
Hope this helps.
