Bishop Gear Steering Box shims

Post by ranald »

Hello, Does anyone have any side cover shims they could spare? Refer to the attached photo for dimensions. Thank you. Ranald

I think I might have to make my own shims. I need brass sheets at least 150mm x 150mm and .002” thick. There are a few suppliers on ebay but typically their sheet sizes are 150mm x 75mm. Does anyone know where i can buy the sheet size i need? Thanks for reading this. Ranald

Would this be suitable? Minimum order of £35 though. https://www.repco-tech.co.uk/shims-product?shim_id=422

Thanks for your suggestion. I could ask them if they would consider a smaller order. Occasionally, just occasionally, when I phone trade suppliers I come across someone really helpful. I've even had someone saying the easiest way for them to help was to send a free sample!
