Hi Julian,
not sure if you are aware of SU sizing
"SU carburettor types. For example, if the serial number is HS6, the final number is 6: 6/8 = 3/4", add 1, total is 1-3/4", etc. If the final number has 2 digits, it is the throat size in mm. For example, if the serial number is HIF38, the final number is 38, size is 38 mm etc." from Wikipedia
Therefore HV2 is 2/8" or 1/4" plus 1" =1 1/4"
Hope this helps
Bob

Hi I know from past experience, that HV2 SU Carbs are very hard to source, I got around this problem by purchasing a reconditioned HS2 SU from eBay costing around £90:00 ,.
I then contacted Burlen Carburettors , and purchased the correct Needle for it, my Lanchester now runs superbly , of course, an Adaptor will need to be fabricated to connect to the Inlet Manifold, and another to connect the Air Silencer Duct to the Carb Inlet.
Below is a picture of the conversion that I did to my Lanchester Eleven .
