Thank you for these informations. I'll see that when the engine is running to pull out the car from the garage.

The new engine and gearbox are in the car and she is now able to move by herself in the garden

Engine and gearbox from Suzuki SJ 413, I don't know the commercial name in UK.
4 cylinders, 1300 cc, 66 BHP, 5 gears.
Engine and gearbox are alloy. The weight difference is amazing. The steering is very light like with power steering

Probably more than twice the power of the original, it will be fun to drive!

Resumption of work on the LA 10 stopped during the reconstruction of the engine of the TR6 and various works on the Lotus and the Alfa.

Repair of rear brakes

Making the rear arches

Remanufacturing of the silent blocks of shock absorber rods.

While I'm on the shocks, two quick questions
What modern oil to use and how much in front and rear shock absorbers.
Thanks for your advise

I know that my transformation must be considered sacrilege here, but whatever. Work is progressing well. The mechanical part is finished, the body soon.

Sacrilege, you said, well better that it be used than sit in a shed never restored, and if it is done nicely as it appears....

Luvax dampers... there is a rebuild description here where he goes into a lot of detail, and uses SAE20 motorcycle fork oil.

But I would use Penrite Shocker Oil no 2, here

Sorry, don't remember how much oil, it was 40 years ago...

Fabulous garage workshop. Almost looks like a showroom. I'm envious.
