Lanchester La 11 Chassis

Post by sp250boy »

Guys,
I have a Lanchester LA11 Chassis , Circa 1938 ish...

Looks to be solid and in good condition and comes with the appropriate V5.

Looking for suggestions what to do with it... It is unlikely that another LA11 owner needs a replacement chassis

Any suggestions gratefully received...

hi, turn it into a special roadster, albeit a small engine but better than chucking it away? 2 door but it would be better with a 6 cylinder? bit of a bad idea for some folks on here, but another lanchester in any form is better than one less? all the best Tony. like this type?

Yep I think it's a roadrider six in 1.6 and 1.8? but unless you want to use the chassis as a bridge across a small stream, put what you like in, even tho the DVLA have changed the rules on recreations and bespoke vehicles etc. an 11 chassis will take a six as they are the same chassis I think?

It belongs to a member in Wilmslow.
It’s a complete engine and has been overhauled with new bottom end and new pistons. However one bore is wrecked. No idea how and it was only discovered when somebody came to buy it. There is a set of new liners that could go in it though. Shame to see it go for scrap.
