Dart Replacement Radiator

Post by g.chard »

Hi all,
I have had my Dart for 12 years now. At the time I got it it had a blocked (non-standard) radiator & I had to have it re-cored for around £200. It sprung a leak recently & the local re-corers tell me it needs another re-core...this time for £270. Looking through the old forum, someone suggests that a radiator for an Audi 80 or 90 is similar in dimensions & layout so should be a considerably cheaper option. Has anyone tried to follow this advice...& if so which model of Audi has the closest resemblance (radiator-wise)??
Many thanks
Guy

Plymouth Radiators worth a try . I have always had good reasonably priced service from this small company.

My Aluminium radiator started leaking and Radtec were brilliant in their response. They had three attempts to repair the old one, not made by them, but it kept springing leaks elsewhere. In the end they made me a new aluminium radiator for just over £400. They have jigs for three different Dart models and this one dropped in perfectly. The quality of work is excellent and they made new fixings for my Kenlowe fan and mounted it.
