Fluid Flywheel Identification

Post by Johnsson »

I have the two halves of a fluid flywheel but don't know what model Daimler it is from. The only identification I can find is that one half is stamped with Ass. No. 297039 and the other half is stamped with Ass. No. 299302. Can anyone identify which car these might belong to?

I can't find those part numbers in any of the Daimler 15 parts catalogues.

Well, I hate to do this Trevor, but is it possible that the two halves might be from different models!
297039 is listed as being the Rear Casing Assembly for a Special Sports, but the front Casing on the Special Sports is not 299302. I suppose it`s possible either that the two pieces were a match on some other DB18 model or that a change was made during the production run of the Special Sports....?
