Temp Gauge Repair

Post by JT7196 »

Hi Chaps, as many of you will know by now, I have given up trying to get my Temp Gauge repaired with Speedograph, (Failed twice ) and Speedycables apparently do not give a very good service according to some or the โ€œ Feedbackโ€ I have seen.
I have tried to contact Adrian Sidwell about Three times now, and still not getting a reply, so is there anybody out the who can get my Temp Gauge working ?or at least recommend a competent repairer please?
In desperation, I have ordered a modern electric one, which comes supplied with a Bracket, I can then secure it on the underside of the Dashboard.
Your thoughts,would be much appreciated๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Cheers Al ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

Hello Al,

Not certain if you have a capillary temperature gauge, which may scupper this suggestion, but JDO Instruments might be able to assist.

It is owned / run by John Ostick and have attached a link to provide contact if you so wish.

He MAY be able to do an electronic conversion whilst keeping the integrity of the instrument - I just do not know.

He can be a bit blunt, but is harmless !!

Certainly worth a call - his details are on the contact page.

Regards.

Richard.

itโ€™s a few years ago now but i used JDO to recondition my Jaeger chronometric speedometer. i was pleased with the service provided. iโ€™ve also had experience of Speedycables and was very disappointed. Again, it was a few years ago and may have improved since. All the best, Ranald

Hi Tim, Temparature Gauge now with Adrian Sidwell, hopefully it should be returned to me before I embark on my proposed holiday in Perth WA , sometime towards the end of January .๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
