V8 250 wiring

Post by Ronniet55 »

Hi Guys, after 2 years I can now see the light in getting my dear old dad's car back on the road.
The car is over at Russ Carpenter having the engine & gearbox fitted but he tells me there is a problem with the wiring & therefor in starting the car via the key :(
Does anybody know of someone (preferably in the Essex area) that could look at it for me?
regards
Ron

Ron this is an easy piece of electrics. Have you asked Russ to have a look at it?

Hello Ron,

I have used Steve of GS Autos who is a mobile electrician based in Honiton and travels the UK with a worksop in Storrington, West Sussex !! He is a regular source of assistance for one of my other classic car clubs.

He is an ex-Lucas electrical engineer who started his own business in the 80's, his work is superb and a very helpful chap. Anything electrical and he is on it, even does the old style armature windings.

His contact points are Home 01404.43414 (yes 5 figure number) or mobile 07860.514.021 worth giving him a call and I am sure he will be able to fit you in on his rounds.

Regards.

Richard.
