Conquest Convertible

Post by Dobbinridesagain »

A healthy colour. Oranges - good for you.
Comfy seats. At least when one is seated one cannot see the seats.
And the hood.....errrm

I had to look up its location - near Edinburgh

Anyway, there it is on eBay.

A bargain, perhaps.

I'm no expert but I assume that's what happens when a saloon meets an angle grinder and a bucket of filler?

I'm no expert either, but I am not convinced it's had a home conversion. There are more knowledgeable people around, but the I can't see where the rear doors have gone.

Of course it's not the correct hood, but then again it may be the original which was electrically operated might have been too far gone.

On the other hand, I was expecting twin carbs.

Given that the hood and interior are special to the car, it's not really conceivable that anyone could make it original again.

Oh dear 😢

I am reliably informed it is a Conquest, and therefore a home conversion.

Now this is more like it, but it's also £19,000
