Trafficator Switch

Post by Salmons »

I need a trafficator Switch for my DB18.1.

Dave Philpot has given me the information below

The part no. for the DB18/1 is 310,081 (also listed as TCS34), and an identical switch is also found on the following chassis, amongst others:

E20, E3 1/2, EL24, DB17/1, DB17/2 & DB18/2 (earlier cars).

Hi Dennis,
hope you are fine?

You find a very good manual to repair the switch here:

Good and easy job for a rainy sunday afternoon:)

All the best

Hello Claudio,

I am fine but still can't get my friend to order a Cylinder Head fir the EL24.

The Switch I got on eBay I have had to send back. I wanted a TCS34 and it was a TCS34P very slightly different and not compatible.

I won't see you at Beaulieu this year, am not going any more as the number of useful stalls gets less every year.

Hi Dennis,

I have just changed my trafficator switch today, you are welcome to the one I have taken off. The indicator lever has broken but the rest of the switch may be of use to rebuild yours. PM me your address and I will pop it in the post.

Thankyou Dave,
Trafficator switch 1.JPG
my car is 1939 DB18.1 with the Switch which fixes on top of the Steering boss with a chrome screw, it does not come out from under the boss. If your car is a Post War one, DB18.2 it will not fit.

Hi Dennis,
Is that the Ritz?
I can see the veneer dash top looking very "smoked sycamore' and the instrument panel "toned to match" the dashboard veneer.
Cheers
