Dart front shocks

Post by Feathers »

Hello All
I need a set of front shocks.
Has anyone used Woodhead adjustable shocks on their Dart?

I don't know this brand personally and have no experience of them, they do seem to sell well here and they are very much cheaper here in the UK, almost half the price. Might be worth exploring an export/import of them. Syd

Thanks Syd
There is a guy in Ohio that has them.
I'll wait and see if anyone has used them. The price is a lot less.

Hello John,

They are an okay shock, to be honest nothing special and certainly far better out there.

Your set up is the same as the Triumph TR2, 3 and 4 - as such have a look at prices covering these vehicles.

Not sure if you can get them in the USA, but adjustable GAZ shocks along with SPAZ are excellent and are light years ahead of Woodhouse IMHO; having used GAZ and SPAX on numerous previous classics. If you fancy splashing out there is the KONI alternative but you pay an extra bit just for the name.

Regards.

The GAZ and SPAX are adjustable on the car. The Sports KONI's for the SP are very good but you have to remove them for adjustment, which makes fine tuning very laborious.
