Re: Headlight bulbs
I made a pair of bulb holders and fitted H4 halogen bulbs.
Much better.
Much better.
Re: Headlight bulbs
Thanks Marcel, I’m going to look at doing this, I’ll also need to get the reflectors re-silvered, anyone know the best place for this?
Cheers

Re: Headlight bulbs
Have you tried cleaning your reflectors?
I did mine with Goddard silver polish.
They have managed 25 years.
They are tarnished now and will get another polish soon.

Re: Headlight bulbs
I washed them out today and it made a small difference, I’ll try taking them apart and polishing see if that makes a difference, thanks

Re: Headlight bulbs
I managed to polish them through the bulb hole using a rag over my finger and then using cotton buds.
Re: Headlight bulbs
Mine are a bit too bad to polish, I tried on the edge but I think the silver had gone thin, will need to get them re-done methinks

Re: Headlight bulbs
Somewhere on here are details of a company who do resilvering. I’m sure Stan Thomas told me about it.
