Has anyone fitter better/brighter headlight bulbs to their consort?

I made a pair of bulb holders and fitted H4 halogen bulbs.
Much better.

Thanks Marcel, I’m going to look at doing this, I’ll also need to get the reflectors re-silvered, anyone know the best place for this?

Have you tried cleaning your reflectors?
I did mine with Goddard silver polish.
They have managed 25 years.
They are tarnished now and will get another polish soon.

I washed them out today and it made a small difference, I’ll try taking them apart and polishing see if that makes a difference, thanks👍🏻

I managed to polish them through the bulb hole using a rag over my finger and then using cotton buds.

Mine are a bit too bad to polish, I tried on the edge but I think the silver had gone thin, will need to get them re-done methinks🤔

Somewhere on here are details of a company who do resilvering. I’m sure Stan Thomas told me about it.
