1934 LA 10 Hand Brake Assy

Post by JT7196 »

Hi Chaps, does anybody have a Ratchet and Paw for a 1934 LA10 Hand Brake, that they are willing to sell ?
Having never stripped the Hand Brake Assy, are there any particular problems that I am likely to encounter ?

Cheers Al 😊😊

Hi chaps ,surely Someone out there must have a spare Handbrake Ratchet for sale, just to reiterate, that the Handbrake is if the earlier type, I.e. applied by pushing the Handbrake
with a “Forward” motion, rather than the more usual “Pulling” Back motion .

Best wishes, Al😊😊

Hi Chaps, if it’s any help, I have just found the Part No’s of the parts required to overhaul the LA10 Handbrake, they are:-
Hand Brake Rack Part No 261694. Item No 9
Hand Brake Pawl. Part No 264820. Item No 6
These parts are listed in the LA 10 Spares Book ( TC 77) on Page 23

Cheers Al 😊😊

This looks like the hand brake assy for the later 1935/36 LA10 with the rod brakes. Regards Frenchy
