Fair price for SP250 project car?

Post by pjbowman »

I have located a project SP250 that needs total restoration. Car has been partially disassembled, interior out of car, all trim off car, but it comes with boxes and boxes of parts, and looks like most everything is there. Engine and trans are in the car. Frame looks good from what I could see. I’m sure the engine is locked up from sitting. What would be a fair price the group thinks for something like this? B-spec car.

SP250’s continue to rise in value and it’s not uncommon to see good ones for sale at £50,000 or more. This has caused the project cars to rise in value with a couple recently selling on eBay for over £6,000
There are a number of people specialising in parts so hopefully if there are any parts missing or worn out you should be OK.

£6,000 seems a bit light Marcel for a resto project Syd

Will let everyone know if I get the car, and what it costs. May be a useful benchmark at least for project cars in the US.
