Recolour door panels

Post by ndrac04 »

My door panels have worn in a few places, and I would like to recolour/repaint them. They are beige/cream in colour, and I wondered if anyone has the paint code, recommended suppliers and any tips or suggestions?

Hello Ray,

Compared to some door panels I have seen, those look very good. In addition, of course, I have seen the car physically.

There are no paint codes for Daimler saloon trim, just the colour by name.

IMHO, the best company to cater for such trim products is Gliptone: https://www.liquidleather.co.uk/new-pro ... r-dyes-t77

My next choice is Furniture Clinic: https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leath ... l0QAvD_BwE

Both companies provide a comprehensive list of products and their colour matching is spot-on.

Other readers will have suggestions and their experience of such, will be of merit.

Good luck.

Richard.

I got a kit from Woolies, including the colouring agent.

I sent a small piece of cloth for them to use as a colour match.

That's interesting - I 'phoned Woolies to ask about colouring replacement seats I got for mine and they said they didn't do it and directed me to Furniture Clinic, who were very good.

Try Kolorbond.co.uk....who are Technispray paints.

They can match a clean clipping from the rear of the panel to Vinylkote 40 exactly.

Sprayed my entire interior of a Volvo 220 which with the right cleaning and prep was an excellent result.
