SP250 fuel pump

Post by csm1406 »

Thinking of changing this as it seems to pump too much - has anyone got experience of either fixing or replacing ?.
Thanks !

I bought ours from MGB Hive, a very good price and included the sealing washers:
https://mgbhive.co.uk/product/7-azx1307 ... l-pump-su/

Now it states negative earth, but these are dual polarity, they say this to not confuse the MG owners --

This is the replacement for the original square bodied HP unit. I still prefer points to electronic, if the electronic packs up you are stuffed -- points usually just need a light tap.

Installation should be straight forward. To remove, unhook the electrics, crack the fuel unions release the two mounting bolts and out she comes.

Things to note, do it with a near empty tank -- also check the condition of the hoses, do the job once!

If you want to repair it, get the repair kit for your pump from Burlen
