Door hinges
What other cars use the door hinges found in our SP250’s. I’m wanting to have mine professionally repaired and since nobody around knows of the Daimler Dart, I thought I’d find someone who does the particular parts (for instance if they came from or were used on Austin Healy’s I would contact that s...

Re: Crankshaft damper
Following up on my post about removal of the nut holding the fan pulley on. I’m still not having any luck. As the engine is still in the car and access is limited I can not use an impact wrench/gun so I wedged a pry bar between 2 bolts and the ground. Then with a breaker bar and a 4’ heavy pipe as a...

Crankshaft damper
How do you remove the crankshaft pulley? I’ve read the workshop manual but can’t seem to get the nut off. Is there a trick such as how to remove the locking washer or if it is reverse threads?

Re: Engine vibration
Great suggestions. Engine mounts are good. I want to take the Damper (harmonic balancer) off and check it. maybe even have it rebuilt as I understand todays materials are actually better (for a change) and I don't believe it was rebuilt what I did the work. Ive checked the shop manual and am having ...

Engine vibration
I have an engine vibration that I’m now thinking is not normal. The vibration starts at around 3000 rpm (I’ll need to verify) and happens when standing still in neutral or while driving so I believe it is in the engine and not the drive train or suspension. A bit of history: I bought the car from a ...

Re: Charging issues (sp250)
A fully charged battery should read new 13.2 volts if it reads 11v after charging and no use overnight then you have lost a cell, 2.2 volts ie 13.2v minus 2.2 equals 11volts, if you check after charging you will find the battery will drop to 11v within an hour I’m thinking you guys are right and th...

Charging issues (sp250)
Electrical gurus needed. I’ve searched the forum but don’t really see what I’m in search of. My battery (5 yr old AGM battery with very few cycles on it as I don’t drive the car much) seems to get very low after driving short distances (5-10 miles). If I park and then restart it it is slow to tick o...

Warm start issue
Electrical advice needed. My car has been fully restored with only about 100 miles on it since. All new wiring harness, new AGM battery, rebuilt generator and regulator. I’ve charged the battery (just in case), checked for corrosion (none) and I’ve recently changed the ignition key switch (as I susp...
