Re: Dart ride height

No problem. 683mm, driver side. Having seen the difference Migray has reported, I will have a look next time I can get to the passenger side.

Re: Fancy a Front Roll Bar? here's how

Thanks for this, Dave. It is something I have been trying to design myself, so to have it done for me it’s great. A couple of questions, if I may: I cannot find the Peugeot part number on the Internet at all; is it correct? Did you source the bar from a breaker? In the drawings’ notes, I see that to...

Re: SP250 Air Cleaners

You can use K&N filters: K&N 56-1400 Custom Racing Assembly - single x 2 This will do away with the oil breathers so to fix this you can either fit a small clamp on vent filter: K&N 62-1340 Vent Air Filter 5/8" ID Or you can buy a K&N vent kit which will need to be cut down to s...

Re: Waterless coolant

I use Evans, having started with a rebuilt engine and cooling system, so I could avoid ever having any water in it. I run a 4psi radiator cap to keep pressures in the system at a minimum and have, to date, had no problems. I have run the car in 37 degree temperatures and it hasn't overheated, althou...

Re: Chafing Ignition Leads

Thank you, Ian. I do have the clamps and the leads (Magnecor) are indeed too loose in them. I can easily pull them through, so I will try a small piece of packing in the 4 lead clamps first, which should solve the problem. I would suggest that anyone else with the Magnecor leads checks this as well.

Chafing Ignition Leads

When I was under the bonnet of my SP this evening, I noticed a couple of smoother patches on the underside, which I traced to chafing ignition leads coming out of the distributor. The leads I have, come straight out of the distributor cap and then fall in the required direction to get to the spark p...

Parking in Prague

I recently took my SP on a trip to Prague, to make the most of the last of the summer sunshine, and to see how it performed and how comfortable it would be on its first long trip. I am happy to say that it behaved faultlessly, was more comfortable than my daily driver and received a lot of attention...
