Re: "The Irish Daimler" 1911 15hp

As they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, these old post veterans do have a sense of history to them, never driven one but I bet they are fun for short runs but bit trying for any distance. I would love to buy this one but as I said I dont have that eye for detail that they demand and they d...

Re: SP250 parts on eBay

My son has pointed out that this could be the remains of the car that burnt and resulted in the owner buying another car, which Fuzz Townsend and his crew rebuilt for the owner/family involved on the program Car SOS. There is some useful stuff on offer with this seller and in the right hands surely ...

Re: Good service

In fairness there are many companies that do come up to the mark in the UK and in the main most parcel companies not too bad either. I have ordered stuff late afternoon and got it next day on many occasions. I try to buy local when ever I can but for specialist stuff, on line is the only option. Sin...

Re: DB18/2 lifting the car

Mark, I have had a pit for many years in two different garages, and frankly both have not been good, the problem is because the high water table where I live. Despite my every effort they have not been dry and the current one though tanked has to be pumped out every time I want to use it and I get d...

Re: Manifold to Downpipe bolts

I have handled several sets of these over the years some SP and some saloon and they do seem to vary perhaps because some appeared to have been changed over the years, some have been welded some drilled an loose bolts and some tapped into the manifold, either way sorting broken or stripped bolts is ...

Am I right in thinking this little gem has been up before here? I would love it but would spoil it in no time, hope it finds a good home. Does it qualify for the Brighton run?

Sold for $13,000 (£11,500) seems cheap given the condition, I wonder if it is coming home?

Re: SP WITH A FORD ENGINE........

The good thing about an SP is you can do that sort of mod to it and get back on the road, if you or a new owner wants originality its is fairly straight forward to restore the car to standard. If prices hold up for good examples some one will do so some time with this one, no doubt. Syd

Re: Multiple choice poll - vehicle engine type

Avoiding getting bogged down in the eco issue has become impossible and despite the huge strength of feeling that it raises, the vested interests have managed to squash or hide many arguments that involve their area of interest. Is it any wonder the world is split over this, there are vast sums of m...
