Am I right in thinking that when the engine runs that unless the clutch is depressed then the input shaft in the gear box is still turning inside the gearbox.
Therefore do you get the vibration with the clutch pressed as well as with the clutch not pressed.

Re: SP vibration
If the gear box is standard then the mounts are of one type only.
If it is standard then check the rear casting that carries the output shaft. These have been known to crack or you may have misaligned it while driving with damage.

Order some new parts and then split the callipers completely. You will have to split the callipers in any case to recondition them.

I think you are talking a lot of sense Josef. Really what you need to do is buy a Porsche and then let me have your Dart for pennies. You will be so pleased with the Porsche that you will thank me in the long term for being so kind as to relieve you of the Dart. Just think of how much safer you wil ...

Re: SP250 Front Wheel Alignment
John,
The laser tracking when set up allows for different track front to back.
Many high performance cars have different track widths and the system is often used as such.

Re: V8 Bootlid seal
I think the seal should fit to the edging lip around the apperture so there is a gutter all the way round. If your gutter is full of something then it is not right. There should also be two rubber bump stops, one either side of the boot lock just before the apperture turns up.

You may be best off going the whole hog and fit a roll bar. One can be made to properly attach to the chassis. A quality four point or better still, five point belt can be fastened to the bar and chassis. Head restraints can be attached to the bar without having to change or modify the seats. An air...

Re: SP250 gearbox overhaul
Which ever way you go, make sure that the parts are an interference fit. By that I mean that they are tight on the shank rather than just the thread that is tightened. If you look at the original it is tapered so as to make a tight fit axially. If you just put a bolt in with a nut on the back and th...
