SP 250 steering

Post by peterbee »

At the moment I am finding it a bit awkward getting into the driver's seat. So I need raise the height of the steering wheel and also push it closer to the dashboard. To be able to do this I need a shorter double ended splined shaft to fit between the steering column and the steering rack. I have lost the details of a company I think in the North of England who would make a custom shaft for about £55. I have just been quoted £250. Does anyone know of a company that can make a shaft at a sensible price?

If you an remove it all yourself then try a local engineer for him to cut and reweld. The other option is a smaller wheel but in my experience these are not cheap.
Colin,
I may be slow but I’m rough as well !
