Still looking! Wanted: a good useable Barker LD10

Post by KennethBlanshard »

For those who just check the first page of topics, please see my original post of February 24 2021.

I'm still searching for a fairly good useable Barker LD10 to enjoy and show - preferably 'original' than 'much improved'. The only examples currently advertised are the latter, re-painted in 'marmite' colours and, to me, not for showing with the bonnet open.
I guess I'm really hoping for a private sale - not perfect but reasonably maintained and cared for. I know there are some out there!

Hello Kenneth, expect you will have seen this one, but in case not - https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1338996 - or if you have suspect it may fall into your latter category, though the improvements seem reasonable and not that obvious (apart from the colour maybe), though also perhaps at higher end of current prices.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks Antony,
Yes, I have been watching Pioneer Automobiles, as their sales archive lists more than one very well presented and original Barker LD10. The last in that category was KRW 987 in 2019, offered at £6k, and the lucky owner's photos are deservedly featured on ld10.awardspace.
I'm now considering Briggs body models or a 14 Roadrider as cheaper/dearer alternatives!
