Window winder spring for Briggs LD10 wanted

Post by mikemillen »

The window winder spring on one of the doors of my Briggs LD10 has broken:

Does anyone have a spare, please?

Is there not a single Briggs LD10 anywhere that's being broken for parts?

I just need one little spring... :-)

The springs look very generic but I haven't found someone who supplies just the spring. However this ebay listing for a landrover regulator seems to include a spring that is very similar? Less than £20 new. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252537805592 ... xyJs5Rc6n1

Thanks, Migray... that one does look close.

I'm sure there must be some parts-only LD10s around, though... there's 4 springs in every one. :-)

To wrap up this thread... I can confirm that the spring from a Daimler Conquest is identical to that used in the Briggs LD10, as I now have one fitted to my car. :-)
