Licensing on the DVLA website
Licensing on the DVLA website
I thought it may be worth mentioning this little tale. I had two V11 reminders in today, one for a 1947 car and one for a 1967 one. Neither could be licensed on the website, as I normally do on the day the V11s come in, because each application said that the MOT could not be found for either vehicle, although an MOT may not be required. Maybe it will sort tself in another couple of days, or at the end of the month. There's always the Post Office with a V112 form as well but it looks like there's a glitch in the DVLA's system somewhere .
Re: Licensing on the DVLA website
I don't think there is a glitch. I've just done it for my Jensen.
You enter your 12 digit reference number, click continue. The taxation class should be "Historic Vehicle". Continue again.
It should come up with a declaration that it may be exempt from an MOT if not substantially altered. You declare this is correct. Continue again.
It should then get to a "Check the Details" screen. Continue again and then "Application complete" comes up.

Re: Licensing on the DVLA website
Just taxed my two and it went exactly as Chris says, no problem at all, I would try again Simon must have been a glitch at the time you applied. Syd
Re: Licensing on the DVLA website
Thank you, a glitch last night right enough, it would seem. Interestingly, the 1967 one came up with the self declaration MOT page whereas the 1947 didn't. That page didn't appear last night on either so there must have been something amiss with their system. Legal again - for now !
Re: Licensing on the DVLA website
The 1947 one is pre-1960.
