It's an Austin "K2" (locally known as a "Birmingham Bedford", as the smae chap designed the Bedford "O" series)

No, James, not that rare and the engine, would you believe, is the same one Austin still put in the "Princess" right up to 1968, so parts are still reasonably available.

Just got new axle oil seals and a set of new brake linings, off the shelf.

Had to fit a DB18 fuel tank sender though (supplied by a forum member)

When I picked up my most recent Conquest last year the man I bought it off was a "bit of a collector" to say the least. He had two barns full of exotic and not so exotic. In the one barn he had two K2s, one restored and one pending restoration.
