Daimler without a crinkled grille surround

Post by John-B »

Today at a classic car show at Breamore Hosue I saw a Daimler without a crinkled grille surround; I hope that isn't a future trend. I think it's a modern Double Six. It does have a D on the surround, but the surround is plain.

I think all Daimlers should have the traditional crinkled grille surround, even if it's tiny on some other recent models. Was this a special made for the owner or as made in the factory?

How about the original got damaged and they couldn't get another crinkley one?

"Nick - do you think you will ever put that old car back together again?"
