SP250 Lubricants

Post by heh101353 »

Is there a complete list of all lubricants used on the SP250?
The workshop manual does not list any.
Most of the time it reads: “… top up with the recommended brand and grade of …”

Engine, Gear Box, Chassis, Steering Box, Hand Brake, Differential, Carburettors, Wheel Bearings, on and on, and on ...

I would be most grateful if someone could point out where to find such a thing.

Thank you
Hans

This is the list of lubricants originally published in the Owners Handbook. Many of the oils and greases are obsolete now so the owner is forced to look for modern equivalents.

I'm sure other owners will respond with their preferred modern alternatives.

The oil companies also issued service lists for different cars including the SP250 - I have the Shell and Esso list.
