The front dampers on my LD10 have leaking seals on the lever shaft. The rears don't seem to be leaking at the moment but are as old as the fronts, so are likely to benefit from reconditioning anyway.
I've found 3 companies that specialise in this work:
https://www.vandcengineering.co.uk/
https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/produ ... -absorbers
http://www.vintageandclassicshockabsorb ... 4578272652
Rather than choosing one with a pin, does anyone have any first-hand knowledge of any of them?

Re: Shock Absorber Reconditioners
Hello Mike,
I can recommend V&CSA. They've done a phantastic job overhauling the shocks of my Daimler 15 and Jaguar XK 120. The only thing you need is a little bit of time. It took round about 4 months before the job was finished and the shocks are at home to refit.
Regards
Rolf

I hope the 4 months was an exception, though.
Mind you, if I send them at the start of Winter it won't matter so much.
Re: Shock Absorber Reconditioners
I also would recommend VCSA , but if their lead time is still an issue, you could try Stevson Motors in Selly Oak.

V & CSA are relatively near to you, in Croydon. You could ring and have a chat.

If V&CSA are too busy then that's two votes for Stevson.
Sounds like both firms can be relied on to do a good job.
