Hi, is the rear axle the same in the A,B,and C spec versions of the SP other than for possible ratio changes ,Regards ,Terry .

There were two variants of the Salisbury 7HA axle fitted to SP's. Rather than being identified with a specific car spec they were specified as early and late and they do have different differential assemblies. The early type had three lubricant plugs, the late two.

Hi, Just to add to the above, the A spec cars had the series 1 axle fitted and the B and C spec cars had the series 2 axle fitted.
All external fittings are identical therefore either axle can be fitted to either car.
As Nick says, the input pinions and differential cages have slightly different dimensions.
