1960 Majestic SOLD at Duxford 26 May 2021

Post by KennethBlanshard »

This 1960 Majestic went for just £6,188 including buyer premium.
Instead of looking for a reasonable LD10, I should have been building a bigger garage...

https://www.handh.co.uk/auction/lot/lot ... 6&pn=1&g=1

Registration No: RBF 250
Chassis No: 99277
MOT: Exempt

75,632 recorded miles and understood to have had just 7 former keepers
Offered with original handbook and sales brochure
New battery in 2019 and fitted with a S/S exhaust
Heritage certificate, buff logbook, collection of old invoices, MOT's and Tax discs
download/file.php?mode=view&id=8711

etc
Finished in Golden Sand over Maroon with Maroon leather upholstery, ‘RBF 250’ is described by the vendor as being in ‘good overall’ condition with regards to its engine, automatic transmission, electrical equipment, interior trim, bodywork and paintwork. Supplied new by Reeve & Stedeford of Birmingham, the Daimler is believed but not warranted to have covered some 75,632 miles (atoc) from new in the hands of eight keepers. Certainly, the Majestic’s nicely patinated cabin lends credence to such moderate usage. Sporting a stainless steel exhaust and treated to a new battery in 2019, this charming Daimler is offered for sale with original owner’s handbook, sales brochure, wiring diagram, Heritage certificate, buff logbook, collection of old invoices, old MOT's, Tax discs and owners club correspondence.

Bargain.
Am I assuming you're not the new owner?

Just for an idea of values, what would a comparable Jaguar Mk VII or similar sell for in England?

Here there are only a handful of Majestics, and they rarely come up for sale. The last one was priced at about 8000 pounds but I don’t know if it did sell.

Cheers

In many ways a much more useable car than a Majestic Major with a bullet proof engine.
