Jaw droppingly beautiful, sold at a 280K loss on the restoration costs!

A real shame, but what absolute dedication by the gentleman who paid for the restoration.

Yes I agree. The (now deceased) owner did a wonderful thing to restore the car to such a exceptional level. It even had a new engine block cast. Unfortunately, the new owners first job is stripping the engine down to establish why a big end bearing has failed after only 1000 miles. Hopefully soon it will be in fine fettle and we will see it reported on in the DM.
